Failure, Suck and Lying

Another very hectic week. Is the norm? Or am I just not learning my lessons? I think a bit of both. I definitely keep finding ways to overdo it but I’m still proud of my willingness to try. Learning so much about myself and life through my efforts.

2 Ideas from me

  1. Being wrong nine times doesn’t matter if you’re right once

Failure. Failure. Failure. Failure. Failure. Failure. Failure. Failure. Failure.

Success.

Failure is only significant in isolation. The judgement we pass on ourselves because of one moment.

When there is no ends to justify the means, failure feels heavy and burdening.

Failure is the stepping stone to every worthwhile thing in life. So keep grinding, keep learning from failure and the failures will become ‘worth’ it.

In isolation, they suck. Expand the time horizon and they become the catalyst for your growth and success.

It takes courage and a willingness to be wrong so many times to find what you’re looking for.

A great quote that encapsulates this is:

Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts

– Churchill

The journey of showing up after those failures makes you worthy.

  1. Sometimes it just sucks. End of story.

There’s not much more to this idea except embracing the fact that sometimes emotions don’t need over-analysing.

Embracing that feeling is an integral part of our human journeys.

Embracing that feelings are what make us human and that the lows make us appreciate the highs and so fourth.

That’s it. Life can suck. But it will get better. I promise. Keep showing up.

1 Quote

“This is what hard feels like”

– Alex Hormozi

Sometimes we just need to remind ourselves that good things take effort and will feel very hard.

The path may not be paved out fully but often there is many steps we can take before that. Taking them is the best way to keep pushing forward.

1% Tip

Don’t lie for one day.

This 1% tip has become more of a challenge of recent and it continues.

I guarantee you would struggle to do this, including myself.

It’s so difficult not to lie. Even in the slightest. We are constantly twisting what we say to other people for certain reasons.

Be truthful. Say how you feel. Communicate your truth. Do it in a respectful way but try to tell YOUR truth, not a truth you think you should have.
